Shipping Policy
When to Expect Your Order
Transit times typically range from 1 to 6 business days, depending on the warehouse and your delivery location. As soon as your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking details so you can monitor its progress.
Orders Requiring Multiple Shipments
To minimize shipping costs, we always aim to ship your entire order together. However, because we operate multiple warehouses across the U.S., some items may ship from different locations. If your order is split, you will receive separate shipping confirmation and tracking emails for each package.
Small Parcel (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
No one is required to be present. The carrier will leave the package(s) in a safe location if you are not home.
Small Parcel Damage (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
For standard parcel deliveries, you do not need to sign a POD, but strict deadlines still apply:
-
48-Hour Inspection Window: Thoroughly inspect all boxes and items within 48 hours of delivery.
-
Report Immediately: If anything is broken or missing, Contact Us immediately within this 48-hour timeframe.
-
Important: Shipping carriers will reject claims submitted after 48 hours. If you fail to report damages or shortages within this window, you will be responsible for the cost of re-ordering the items.
Freight Shipments (Large Items)
Someone must be present at the delivery site. Failure to have someone available will result in the shipment being rescheduled, and you may incur re-delivery fees.
Lift Gate Service
A lift gate acts as an elevator on the back of a freight truck to safely lower pallets to the ground. If you do not have a loading dock or a forklift, you must select the lift gate service when requesting your shipping quote.
-
Please note: A lift gate cannot be used for certain oversized orders due to the extreme length or size of the pallets.
Unloading Freight Shipments
Because freight items are exceptionally large and heavy, we highly recommend having one or two additional people on-site to help unload.
-
Important: Delivery drivers are employed by the freight carrier, not our company. For insurance and liability reasons, drivers are strictly prohibited from assisting with the unloading process.
Inspecting Freight Shipments (Crucial Steps)
The Proof of Delivery (POD) slip is a legally binding document. Once signed without notes, the carrier is released from liability. You must follow these steps to protect yourself against transit damage or loss:
-
Take Photos Immediately: Photograph the pallet(s) and loose packages while they are still on the back of the truck or as they are being unloaded. Capture these images even if the shipment looks perfect, as they are vital evidence if hidden issues arise.
-
Count Every Piece & Inspect Shrink Wrap: Count the boxes and items to ensure everything matches your paperwork. Check the condition of the plastic shrink wrap. If the shrink wrap is torn, broken, or if any items are missing, you must write it down on both the driver’s copy and your copy of the POD slip.
-
Examine the Exterior of Every Box: The carrier is obligated to let you examine the outside of each box. Look closely for cracks, dents, punctures, or holes.
-
If the driver refuses to wait: Immediately call the trucking company (phone number is on your shipping paperwork) or Contact Us directly. Report that the driver is being uncooperative and you are being denied your right to inspect the shipment.
-
Do Not Refuse the Shipment: If you spot damage, accept the delivery but clearly document the damage on the driver's copy of the POD
-
CRITICAL WARNING: Freight carriers will only approve replacements for damaged or missing items if they are clearly noted on the driver’s copy of the Proof of Delivery slip. Failure to document shortages or damages on the POD will prevent us from re-shipping those items to you at no additional charge.
-
Retain All Packaging: Keep all damaged products, including original boxes, pallets, and packing materials. Do not attempt to assemble, install, or modify damaged items. The carrier may require an on-site inspection before approving the claim. You may discard the damaged items only after the inspection is finalized.
